Inside the GY-HM700 videos
JVC’s new ProHD shoulder mounted camera, the GY-HM700, natively records the file format used by Apple QuickTime for Final Cut Pro and, for compatibility with other NLE systems, it also supports the MP4 file format.
Video clips are dragged directly from the storage media onto the non-linear editor’s timeline, eliminating the need for transcoding that can consume excessive time and disk space
while maintaining original first generation image quality.
The GY-HM700’s menu system is organised with scrolling menus, floating windows and the use of upper and lower case fonts have been implemented to assist readability making this
