RUHR 2010 project purchase JVC ProHD camcorders

RUHR 2010 is a German project that promotes the cultural diversity and rich artistic background of an area of the country, Ruhrgebiet. A team of people from 2010LAB recently purchased GY-HM100 and GY-HM700 camcorders for use in local ventures, encouraging creativity in young people from this German area.D

The 2010LAB team has made a number of video productions, each concentrating on a specific area or topic within the RUHR 2010 project. Workflow was vital for the project, as videos are edited using Final Cut Pro™ then uploaded onto their website.

D“What we required was an affordable camcorder that would provide us with quality footage and fast turnover times; both of JVC’s camcorders were perfect for this, offering us the quality and flexibility we required for such a big project,” Michael Krömer, Video Manager at 2010LAB explains.

“We purchased the camcorders from NEWi GmbH; they came with a whole host of professional features, all laid out in a very user-friendly interface.

“A key factor in our decision to purchase the camcorders was the SDHC card format which they utilise. We were attracted to them because they provide a flexible, cost-effective solution that allows for quick and easy integration with Final Cut Pro. Overall I would say we are very pleased with the GY-HM100 and GY-HM700 and look forward to using them on future projects.”
