Super LoLux cameras board the CCTV Truck at IFSEC 2010

New eco-friendly cameras join the European Truck roadshow at its IFSEC stop, with 3D video also making a welcome appearance on the stand.

As part of a pan-European tour, JVC Professional will be bringing its CCTV Truck to this year’s IFSEC show. Packed with the full range of JVC analogue and IP cameras, recorders and monitors, the truck provides a simple way for customers to see how JVC surveillance systems could fit their requirements.D

The show also marks the arrival of four new cameras featuring new Super LoLux™ technology. With both box-style cameras and mini domes, the new Super LoLux cameras deliver precise colour reproduction under virtually zero light conditions; as low as 0.05 lux in colour mode and 0.006 lux in black-and-white mode.

The cameras offer high resolution images with 580 TV lines and feature a powerful new 14-bit digital signal processor, which delivers high quality pictures. A variety of other features allow for precise monitoring, including automatic gain control, automatic electronic shutter, 1.4x/2.0x digital zoom and privacy mask for protecting against intrusive monitoring.

D“Digital video surveillance market share continues to increase, but analogue camera installations still represent the majority of installed CCTV systems,” said Lee Elliott, JVC Professional Europe’s CCTV product manager. “JVC knows how important analogue is to the surveillance industry, so we’ve made significant enhancements to improve performance. Our new eco-friendly cameras also use about 40 percent less power than conventional models.”

As an interesting alternative to the CCTV technology on display at IFSEC, JVC will be demonstrating its new large format 3D monitor, bringing another possible dimension to surveillance. See the impressive footage for yourself at the show and discuss some of the future possibilities for security applications. Other monitors on display include the super-slim GD-32X1 HD LCD monitor – just 6.4mm in depth at its thinnest point and weighing a mere 5.7kg, the GD-32X1 features an advanced picture engine, ensuring beautifully natural yet vivid still images and video reproduction, while its 100Hz/120Hz Clear Motion Drive III anti-blurring technology Dsignificantly reduces motion blur for impressive picture quality that’s ideal for surveillance applications.

Through the synergy and ongoing integration between JVC Professional and Kenwood, solutions are being developed to realise the customer benefits of an integrated system. One such solution is the combination of CCTV camera control and video analysis, mobile radio location tracking and radio communications, which can all be seen on the JVC stand. The system concept is aimed at institutions and organisations using CCTV surveillance and mobile radio communications, and managing these services from a control room.

JVC will be on Stand C30, Hall 5, at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, from 10th-13th May.
